Seaside Golf Club in Oregon

Seaside Golf Club

Tucked at the base of Tillamook Head, Seaside’s nine-hole public course offers a unique golf experience amidst stunning scenery and abundant wildlife. First opened in 1923, the course was designed by Chandler Egan, a 1904 Olympic gold medalist in golf. Egan also designed courses at the Eugene Country Club and the Oswego Lake Country Club, and worked with the team that famously revamped the Pebble Beach course in 1929.

Today, Seaside Golf Course is renowned for its friendly atmosphere and affordable fees, making it an ideal destination for a casual game during your weekend getaway. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned golfer, the 2,697-yard course provides challenge and relaxation. Need equipment? Clubs and carts are available for rent, ensuring a hassle-free experience.

After your game, unwind at the clubhouse. Browse the pro shop stocked with essential gear and enjoy a friendly restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner to residents and visitors alike. Visit the popular sports bar, which features many local breweries among its offerings.

The golf course’s stunning location (some greens are just a few hundred feet from the ocean) was originally home to railroad tycoon Ben Holladay’s Seaside House, a lavish hotel built in 1870 that attracted upper-class visitors from across the West. The hotel provided a fitting name for the town that grew up around it.
